MISER AND HIS GOLD, THE
Once upon a time, there was a miser who sold everything he had to get a few pieces of gold.
Then, he melted all the pieces into one large piece of gold.
He secretly buried his piece of gold in a field.
Every day, he would dig up his piece of gold and look at it for hours and hours.
One day, a thief saw the miser sitting in the field looking at his piece of gold.
The thief hid and waited. After the miser left, the thief stole his piece of gold.
When the miser went to the field the next day, his piece of gold was gone!
The miser was so upset that he began to cry and scream.
A neighbor ran to the miser to see why he was crying and screaming.
The miser told his neighbor about the loss of his piece of gold.
Then the neighbor said to the man, “Since you did nothing with your gold but look at it, just put a brick in its place, and it will be the same.”
